Pizza and wings always make for tasty football fare, but on crisp afternoons and evenings, I prefer to deploy the slow-cooker and make a big pot of something hearty and comforting. When friends are over, I love having the aromas of a simmering pot waft through the house. They pair well with football and beer! Salt and Pepper to taste.
